There was an excellent attendance for the annual Bonfire and Fireworks, held on the village hall playing field. The weather was perfect for the occasion and all who attended were impressed by the splendid display that ensued.

With the award winning ‘Guys’ on top of the huge bonfire to set the evening rolling, followed by the firework display, then the BBQ on the patio, drinks and disco in the Hall, the event really was a successful and enjoyable family occasion.

Congratulations to everyone who helped in any way, from the preparation of the field and fire before and after, organising the Guy Fawkes competition, setting off the fireworks, the volunteers with collection buckets, running the BBQ, the bar staff and the manning of the disco – it was a real team effort.

Thank you also to those who not only attended but made donations to the bucket collection. As you know the money collected is put toward next years event and so having collected over £950 this will allow us to put on a similar spectacle next year.
